TURN BACK THE CLOCK

We are passionate about the arts and certainly appreciate the keen eye of a talented photog. The black and white photographs of Horace Bristol Indonesia 1939 were on display at the Four Seasons Hotel lobby in Jakarta from July 16-30th. The exhibit's focus was on Bristol's work as one of the original LIFE magazine photogs, as well as the publications first international story being published in 1940. Bristol went to Indonesia in the late 30s to capture life in the Dutch East Indies and his story was published as a 14-page feature. If you missed the exhibition in Java, you can catch the exhibit as it moves to Bali starting on Friday, August 6th, with the opening reception beginning about sunset.
