SAVE WATER, GROW A BEARD
Budweiser is encouraging men across America to forego shaving leading up to World Environment Day on June 5. By avoiding the shave from now until June 5th in the hopes of saving over 1 million gallons (nearly 3.8 million liters) of water. The 'Grow One Save a Million' campaign is active on the Budweiser Facebook Page and is'nt restricted to the USA.
"Every gallon of water that we save makes a difference to our communities, so when thousands of people get together for one common cause, great things can happen," said Chad Pregracke, founder of Living Lands & Waters and the face of the program on Budweiser's Facebook page. "By pledging to skip shaving and 'grow one,' guys can literally wear their commitment to conserving our most valuable natural resource." *
Last year more than 1,200 employees at Anheuser-Busch skipped the regular shave in the week leading up to World Environment Day. As a result, the cumulative savings last year totaled nearly 42,000 gallons (159,000 liters) of water. Alright gents, you have been informed, so skip the shave, grow the scruff and help save precious H2O. Cheers!

Straight from America's heartland,St. Louis, Missouri. American BBQ franchise Smoking Joe's opens in Jakarta, Indonesia. Serving traditional Memphis-style dry-rub BBQ in the world's most populous Muslim nation hasn't stopped owners and the founder of Smoking Joe's from developing a cult following with both ex-pat and locals alike. In eight short weeks the restaurant 7 lounge has quickly become a culinary destination in Jakarta. They pride themselves on slow-smoked meats in their one-ton smoker imported directly from Missouri. All meat is smoked using wood from the Jack Fruit tree which offers a distinguished taste and an amazing aroma. What's good on the menu? The Beef Brisket, Pulled Pork and BBQ Pork ribs are all winners. Save room for dessert and try the Toll House chocolate chip cookie that's big enough for a car full. Also the home made apple pie is worth digging into and is served with vanilla ice cream. Portions are hearty and it's best to bring your appetite. Wait staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Smoking Joe's is a meat lover's paradise, but also have delicious menu items for everyone. Grand Opening Party is scheduled for Thursday, May 19th and will be the first location in Southeast Asia to serve Budweiser, 'The King of Beers.'
