Forever 21 Inc .the low-priced fashion retailer, plans to expand and transform itself into a department store from a clothing boutique. INCONVENIENT TRUTH ABOUT SPA ETTIQUETTE

Attention all polar bears reading this, please look no further. Your spokesman for climate change continues to have a very tough year. As if the recent divorce from longtime wife Tipper wasn't enough, former US Vice President and 2007 Nobel Peace Prize winner is being accused of sexually assaulting an Oregon massage therapist back in 2006. C'mon Al, thou shall not sexually assault thy masseuse! When you happen to be a prolific figure you should control your deviant actions ... No matter how aroused one may get while on the receiving end of a rub down. He must have thought he was at one of those 'sleazy' back-alley massage parlors. But hey, he can at least seek comfort in knowing that he can always call on Tiger Woods for advice in this department... After all, each one just wanted to bust-a-nut!

BEES LOVE JESUS

A Dutch designer Tomáš Gabzdil Libertiny erected a sculpture of Jesus while the bees finish the project.  The experiment was done in a sealed glass container with his mold of Christ inside. Libertiny released over 40,000 bees who worked religiously on the honeycombed surface of the mold. So the question remains, why don't beekeepers have Jesus honeycombs to make their honey a truly religious experience?

THREE STARS YOU SHALL FIND

Pistachio is a firm supporter of the stars & stripes all the way! Whether it's curling in the Olympic games or Team USA soccer in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, we live and die with the red, white and blue. While watching Team USA's last minute heroics over Algeria today, it came to our attention the Shield embodying USA soccer (football on the rest of the planet) has a striking resemblance to the USA ski team logo. Whats more, the three stars on top of the crest have no relevance, apart from the fact that there are fifty on the nations flag. Stars are awarded to a team that has accomplished something grand in the sport, and Team USA has yet prove itself on a world stage. It would make sense to have this shield revised with something a bit more regal, like a majestic eagle perhaps or revert back to the old 'Don't tread on me' which was used last year. But then again this logo carries a heavy military connotation to it. You be the judge, but keep supporting Team USA win or lose!

BLOW ME!

Have you heard? What vuvuzela? I am sure you have, because even the cave dwellers in Afghanistan are aware of the dreadful buzz this souvenir makes. (We refrain from calling it an instrument, because its not). Its popularity has received mixed reviews during the FIFA World Cup and was threatened to be banned, even iPad has devoted an app in its honor.

This carnivale-esque device has no place in the professional sporting world. In case you didn't know, World Cup Football is the most watched sporting event on the planet and the sport continues to be the most played pastime on earth. (I have even witness penguins kicking a soccer ball at the zoo). If you compare ALL professional sporting events in the USA, there are no noise makers permitted inside the stadiums or arenas. What happened to shouting to support your team till you loose your voice? Instead fans toot this tube that resembles a beer funnel you might find at a university frat party. The sound the vuvuzela makes could be classified as a cross between a mating cow and a dying elephant. Wear your earplugs and blow me vuvuzela!

CORAL IS THE NEW GREEN!

Sorry sports fans, there were absolutely no VUVUZELA'S along the finely manicured fairways at Pebble Beach this week. But there was enough noise being made on the final day of the 2010 US Open Championship.
Graeme McDowell became the first man from Northern Ireland to win the US OPEN at one of the finest golf venues in the world makes it even sweeter. He had a duel with a Frenchman Havret and two-time US OPEN champ Ernie Els from South Africa, making it truly a global event on a different scale. Cheers to Northern Ireland on this celebrated victory over an elite playing field. Sit back, relax and enjoy a glass of Bushmills 1608 Irish Whiskey.

TO INFINITY & BEYOND

It appears one of the most popular animated film franchises opens the toy box and cleans out the cobwebs once again for their 3rd installment of Toy Story. Directed by Lee Unkrich and starring the familiar voices of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Don Rickles, Wallace Shawn and the rest of the toy box cast. Toy 3 pays attention to the reasons we return to the motion picture experience- a children's story with clever adult innuendos.

Written by Michael Arndt, an Oscar-winner for Little Miss Sunshine, Toy 3 offers drama and thrills plus unexpected moments of sadness while offering certain laughter. Best, and most characteristic of Pixar understands genuine emotion and is not afraid to put it on the silver screen- animation style.

The story surrounds a group of toys trying to live up to their responsibilities dealing with change. The film's 3-D version enhances this reality without being too flamboyant. Once again Woody and Buzz Light-year action figures will be popular for the rest of the summer and beyond.

SWEET SIXTEEN

The Los Angeles Lakers won their 16th NBA title over the Boston Celtics in a hard-fought seven game series. Phil Jackson once again proved the Lakers can win without the presence of an overpowering big man... Deep down Kobe Bryant must be thinking, SUCK IT SHAQ, oh what used to be! O'Neal on the other hand must be loosing sleep at night knowing that once again his former mates cut down the nets on another championship season. It's a fact Kobe is grinning from ear to ear nowadays. I think he's gotta be sleeping with his two new pieces of hardware (pictured here) while quietly singing, "The bed’s too big without you. Cold wind blows right through that open door. I can’t sleep with your memory. Dreaming dreams of what used to be." -- The Police

First solo art show for James Franco

The exhibit "The Dangerous Book Four Boys" incorporates photography, drawing, film and sculpture. It will be curated by Alanna Heiss, founder and former director of P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center. A Wall Street Journal article says that the exhibit centers on ideas of boyhood and the sexual awakening from early adolescence. Rather than a showcase of single pieces, the show is more about the thoughts they provoke. Some of the short films show torched or otherwise destroyed objects while other works takes on a Trekkie feel with a fiction & romantic rendezvous between Spock and James T. Kirk. The exhibit opens on June 23 at the Clocktower Gallery a nonprofit exhibition space at 108 Leonard Street in Tribeca. If you are in NYC, be sure to take a few puffs of the sticky-icky before checking into this artistic adventure.
